This would look good just be sure that it's a true 12volts , most of the time you will find that the factory coil supply wire has less then 12volts with key on, gm intended for this voltage drop to keep the ignition point's from burning. Whatever route you go just be sure that you have full supply power going to your hei with key on and or running. Cb

that's why the cloth resistor wire is replaced. The wire is only on the firewall side of the bulkhead connector
