Spray some acid on it and it will tarnish right up.
I thought about expanded steel(diamond mess)with from to back ribs for another design.Nothing held in and the ribs,like 1 1/4" square tube,could ride across the hard stuff(rocks)yet not hang you up.If you got bottomed in the rear it would help keep you from sliding off to the side.
