will 72 rad support work w/ 68 hood
I just picked up a complete 68 front clip for a 68 GMC that will go onto my 72 Jimmy. What parts will need to be changed over. Bill from Vintage Chevy seems to think 72 support and grill will work with some exchange of upper grill trim piece and hood latch and center support. Anyone done this swap ? The 68 support is rusted through under battery area so if this does not work I'll need 68 support if 72 does not work. Thanks for any help. Dan

The core support itself is the same. You will need to modify it according to the type of headlights you will be using. For example 67-68 chevy doesn't have any mounting stands 69-72 does and GMC's have dual headlights. But yes the core supports will work in all years with some imagination. I have had a 72 support in my 67. Til I found a correct one in good shape.
