Shorty dump?
Hopefully, my next project will be a '67 shorty-step, if I can find the right one.
My intention is to create a comfortable, but functional truck that I could convince even my wife to drive. ![]() So, aside from the obvious conversions and updates like power steering, power brakes, power windows, A/C, tint, I'm seriously wondering about a hydraulic dump for the bed. We're getting into some house flips, and therefore some renovations, and a pickup that dumps would come in hamdy for removing material to the landfill site. The intention is to create a work truck that looks good. Can anyone remember seeing a shortbed that dumps? Am I dreaming too big? I don't think so. I rarely dream......it's more like a vision of the future..... www.67HEAVEN.com ![]() Last edited by 67HEAVEN; 10-31-2007 at 07:37 AM. |

Re: Shorty dump?
There's a fella on here with a longbed dumpbox or two... can't remember who at the moment, so I don't see why a swb isn't possible.

Re: Shorty dump?
I can`t imagine a dumping Stepside bed handling much tipping weight. The ones you see are all show. There would need to be a serious sub-frame for a Stepside to handle a load, which would raise the height of the bed.
Just get a dump trailer.
