This is what I'm looking for, However I have a question. I have a stepside tailgate that came off a 50's showtruck. The gate is nice, and it had inside latches, but they were mounted on the outside of the gate (inside the bed area) as opposed to inside the round part of the tailgate itself. Can these be mounted on the outside like the other ones, or are they made to mount inside the tube part of the gate?? Lso are they stanless steel or other? Thanks for the info!

Re: NEW from MAR-K! GM Hidden Tailgate Latches

The latches are made of zinc-plated steel for corrosion resistance.
They are made to go inside the top curl of the tailgate.

You can find out more information in the instructions which are available online. These include pictures and detailed information.

Thanks for your questions!
