Trans crossmember question

I hope I am posting correctly,I have been a member for some time now put this is the first time I have actually been stumped. Here's my situation, I have a 69 1/2 ton short bed I am restoring from the ground up, I want to lower the truck, and I am running a M-21, my question is the trans mount crossmember, can I get rid of it and just use an automatic transmission mount or what. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Trans crossmember question

Yes, you can chop out the bell crossmember, & use the auto crossmember. It bolts up in the same spot on the frame as a 350 turbo equipped truck. L
