I thought I had one in the garage but it is an 80. I can't remember where it is. I was thinking it was at the bottom at 6...

Re: early clock question, 73-78 range.
I had one in my 78 Silverado. I believe the shaft was near the top but it's been a couple of years since I've seen it.
The clock worked intermittently for a long time, but when it did work it didn't keep time at all. Eventually it just died. |

On the early ones, it's at 12:00.
Here's a pic from Ebay: Later on, (80?) they moved it to like 7:00.

Re: early clock question, 73-78 range.
alrighty then, i just couldn't believe that the factory drilled a hole in the #12 to put the rod through.
I just bought one. just need to know the most accurate way of getting the hole right in the clear lens now. anyone want to make me a craft paper template from their original??? :-) thanx fellas.

It is 12. Here's a couple pics of my 78 dash from a lens swap writeup I did last year.

Re: early clock question, 73-78 range.
Here you go, factory clock on the bottom left. It still ticks but the adjuster rod won't adjust it anymore, need to pull it and hook it back up. 1978...
