Benefit of lowering with spindles vs LCA's ?

I've always run spindles/springs to get 4" drop or more when lowering these trucks but money is tight right now and didnt want to drop $250 for spindles just yet. I found a set of 2" control arms on ebay for $85 shipped and figured they would work for now. So what are the good and bad about using control arms with 3" drop coils? I am running rally wheels right now and I think using spindles would rub anyway right? Thanks for any help

the biggest down fall I can see is that the control arms already hang pretty low... putting dropped arms would just increase that problem. I had dropped arms on one of my s10's and I freaking hated them. finally took them off and sold those trouble makers on ebay.

I ran Dropped LCA's for years and I still have them and they will still be used. I didn't drop mine more than 4" in the front.

Re: Benefit of lowering with spindles to LCA's ?

I'm running LCA, Zero problems with me. Main reason I went with that is not that I got a killer deal on it set but NEW LCA bushing installed . That alone saved me the hassle on replacing those. I'm running the 3" lower LCA. They are lower but I haven't ran into any problem yet.

This is mine:

You won't have any issues. Like I said mine were on my truck from 1990 - until I took it to the frame in 2000...
