Anyone know of a good repair shop in mesa?

Ive given up on my 79. No idea why it runs so poorly. Ive tried and checked everything. EVERYTHING is brank freakin new. It shouldnt be doing this.
Anyways Im going to cry from the frustration if I keep thinking about. So on to my question. Any good repair shops in mesa? Ill pay them to find out whats wrong then fix it myself. That is assuming of course that they can find somthing wrong.

Are any of the wires arching? New plugs? No leaks on the carb gasket? New fuel filter? Timing set right?

How it running rough? Idle on the road?

I know you dont care much for Lopers. but a friend took his truck in when he had some vibration problems. They put him on the dyno and told him what they thought. He said do the work. The dyno cost was then put towards the work. He ended up paying around $300 for them to tune the carb, set timing and recurve the distr. with the dyno test. His truck had never ran so good. He was one happy guy, then he sold it a few months later to buy a brand new truck. Just a thought.

G, everything is new
I cant even get it out of the driveway. If I let it idle, its got about 1/2 second before it dies. Driving is not an option. It shakes like godzilla is walking down the street.
Replaced carb base gasket, rebuilt carb, removed and checked cap, rotor, wires. Checked timing.
Replaced fuel filter.
Adder water remover to fuel tank.
It ran perfect before it sat for a while. My only chance left is the hei module. Im trying a new MSD unit after work tonight.

And your right eddie, I hate lopers. Good thing they dont have a shop
Ive had several people tell me about the lopers performance shop and how it was good. When I went into lopers a year or two ago, I aksed about it. They said theres no such thing. Theirs a performance shop next to all the lopers, but they are owned/run by someone else.

Almost sounds like maybe your timing chain jumped on you. But, I know that's a rare thing anymore. Good luck!!

timing chain jumping on a stock 8,000 mile motor? Possably. What would cause this? The chain was nice and tight when I put it on. I did tighten the balancer bolt up snugger then usual but I didnt think that would hurt.

Damn it Tom check the chain!

It sounds to me like it could very well be the timing chain. You can get it to run, just not idle right? And when it does run its real rough right? Sounds like timing related to me.
