Re: Will lifting springs for a 69-72 work on a 68 k10
I am saying no... I looked into a lift for my 68 and had no luck. I know that the rear springs are a different length than 69 and up, but can't tell you the difference in the front. I have heard that they are different widths but cant confirm. How high are you looking to go?

just to 6inches i just wanted front springs.. i hav 4 inch blocks i can use for the rear until i can buy a shackle flip kit. the operator at O.R.D said the springs should work. but i also hear they wont.

I would just get some front springs custom made to be safe.

just measure some springs at the junkyard, or a buddies truck (69, 79 etc...) and find a set that has equal dimensions. Most chevy springs are flat so you are worried about width and eye to eye length.

Re: Will lifting springs for a 69-72 work on a 68 k10
Well i measured how wide the springs were where they wrapped around the shackle things it was 2 1/2 inches an3 inches where the spring meets the axle but i dont think that matters much?? what r the measurments of ur springs? shouldnt they be the same since we hav 68's?

I am away from my truck right now, The important width is probably the ends...

Re: Will lifting springs for a 69-72 work on a 68 k10
67 and 68 were 2 1/2 at the spring eye 69 and up were 3in that is why most lift kits will not work. some lift kits use a 2 1/2 wide spring and you can shave the bushing down to use them but you have to find a set that is 2 1/2 in to work.
