AC
I have plenty of 67/72 ac parts if you're interested in adding it on.I could hook you up with about 90% of what you would need to install it.

I think Castlegar would be a close second to the Slurpee capitol

Factory A/C
I added the factory A/C in my 71 truck myself. I cut the fire wall, dash, put the compressor and late model guts in the factory box with R-134A. It has been done now for about 3 years and have had no problems with it. No recharge yet.
As you can see by the pictures I have done away with the POA valve on the passenger side fender. I replaced it with the late model acumalator off of a 80 model truck. I also hooked the compressor up to come on when I turn the defrost on, just like the late model's do. When you use this set up you have to put some kind of materail in the fire box to force the air through the coils instead of going around them.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. Last edited by Andy4639; 01-16-2003 at 08:07 AM. |
