Help w/ backspacing!!!
We are going to put either a 4 or 6 inch spring lift on our 72 K-10. I am looking to order some wheels and tires for it and want to jump on the "Buy 2, get 2 free" offer on the Pro Comp forged wheels. We will go with an 18x9 wheel but really dont know what backspace to order. What have your experiences been? The available options are:
4.5inch 4.5 inch hub-centric (what does that mean?) 5.0 inch What would work best with my setup? I really dont like wheels that stick out too far! Am I right by saying that 5.0 inch backspace would be better than the 4.5? |

Re: Help w/ backspacing!!!
Might get away with 5" of back spacing with an 18" wheel, may not contact the tie rod end being that large.
Won't with a 15", I know that. What width are you looking into? That's where the "stick out" will come into play. Also remember, the front axle is wider than the rear by around 3"s. Last edited by vtblazer; 01-26-2008 at 04:23 AM. |

Re: Help w/ backspacing!!!
I think you can do about anything you want with a 18" wheel.
