Drum brakes
I replaced front and rear shoes and drums. After 600 miles I adjusted the brakes. 2000 miles later drums are out of round. I can feel the pulsation in the brake pedal. Due to rain I was driving something else. Today it stoped raining so I drove my 69 and I noticed the pulsation. I will try and take drums back to autozone tomorrow. Anyone else had this happen? I know that all drums are made in china now.

Re: Drum brakes
When I went to buy my new drums mine were stamped made in the USA. They were the ones that were 15$ more per drum. 3000 miles later they are still good and not pulsating.

Re: Drum brakes
I wont buy those new drums. I head for good old seasoned iron in the junkyards, have them turned & slap them on.

Re: Drum brakes
Where do you find an inside micrometer that goes that big? I wouldn't want to buy drums that were out of spec.

Re: Drum brakes
I got mine from a local parts store called all parts. That was a year or so ago.
