Re: looking for pics of these

There is a post on this somewhere with a number of them in it. There is also a thread on someone doing a build on one converting it to a short Bed.

Re: looking for pics of these

Been thinking of building a truck like that, dropped, 2wd, crew cab, but on a standard cab swb frame. Section the bed so it fits behind the cab, drop in an L92 and 4L80E, it would make a nice long distance mover, since 3/4 of my projects are 850 miles away. Haul the kids, tools, pull the trailer, all in relative comfort... Just need to find a minimally rusted cab.. Would be a really short bed though, could end up goofy looking..

Uh, that ain't gonna work. At 117.5" wheelbase, the axle will be inside the rear door/floorboard. If you want a really short truck, get a Suburban (129.5" wheelbase) and put the crew on it and mod a bed, or chop the burb and enclose the back and make a pseudo Avalance.... Or get a Crew and chop it down to length and chop the bed.

A LWB truck has a 131.5" wheelbase if you want a little more room, but the frame ain't the same, as the frame goes up after the cab.

Those mirrors were an option on the 'burbs and blazers. I think in '90 or '91.

that one from break.com is amazing. I would love to drive that. I wonder what the wheelbase is on that beast.

Re: looking for pics of these

Man after seeing these trucks and a few others on different threads I find myself wanting one.I'm planning the build in my mind already. And here in N.E.Fl I'm seeing 4 door 3/4's daily.A little beat but not dead. The Navy used them,so there lots around here.I would much rather have one of these over a late model truck.

ther was a truck running around here that had put a crew cab on a longbed frame and cut a section out from in front of the wheelwells to make it fit. it actually looked really good. it was lifted 4x4. i would like to have one dropped
