700R4 install complete!!!
The new 700R4 beast is in. ZZ4 and tranny idled for almost 1.5 hours with no leaks or misses. It road ready. I met the tranny guy so he could drive it for warranty purposes. The high performance tranny shifts like crazy. It needs a few hundred miles to break in. The shifts are a little high. The tranny guy says to leave it alone for now. Run it for a few hundred miles before making a final adjustment.

Re: 700R4 install complete!!!
Tranny guy set the cable himself. I also installed the angle correction bracket required for Edelbrock carbs. The tranny has a 13 vane pump. It took 13+ quarts to fill the tranny, steel braided lines, radiator and external cooler!!
After he test drove it, he asked what kind of LS motor was it. LS ha ha, carbed ZZ4!! 355 HP stock. Add a maybe a few more ponies for exhaust and intake. Last edited by gchemist; 02-03-2008 at 04:28 AM. |
