Re: 4/6 drop?
Go to Early Classic Enterprises and they have trucks with different drops, including a 4/6 on a 67-72 Chevy truck.

Re: 4/6 drop?

Re: 4/6 drop?
Here is mine with a 3/5 drop and 255/50zr17's. No problem with speedbumps or anything else as long as you go slow over the big stuff.

Re: 4/6 drop?
Okay, here's 2.5/4.0 drop, on 245-60x15's up front and 275-60x15's out back. I used ECE coil springs and rebuilt the front suspension, with their drop shocks, shock relocators and adjustable track bar out back. Best riding vehicle I have (wife has a Lexus ES) and my hometown has plenty of drainage streets, i.e., dips at intersections to facilitate moving water. I've only bottomed out the front bumper one time, and that was when I had 235-60's on the front. It's in the paint shop, for now.

Re: 4/6 drop?
Yes, that'll be just fine. I have no problems except for when I enter a steep driveway too fast. I'm talking 10-15mph. Bottom line is it's a really nice drop and you're no lower than any car out there. You can still even use your truck as a truck. Also, I've gotten many compliments on my tire/rim choice which isn't shown up top. I've got 15" rims with 245x70 up front and 275x60's in back. It has a really nice rake and it's a very comfortable ride.

Re: 4/6 drop?
Brad are the tires and rims you were mentioning the camaro style rims? Cuz i saw them and they do look sweet! i want some. I dont have any deep potholes or anything. Maybe just the speedbumps in the walmart parking lot...

Nice job on picking out rubber that fills out the wheel wells!

Re: 4/6 drop?
Yes, the Corvette style rims-mine are chrome. I don't have any recent pics with the wheel and tire combo. Those pics I have up show a 275 all the way around. I need some newer pics.

Re: 4/6 drop?
Ol'Rover,
yes that's the truck on Bill's site. We got lots of repro stuff from Bill, great guy with lots of knowledge. I'm not sure what the stock measurements are for the stock coils though. I'm sure someone here knows. Pete |
