Did a little preventative maint. today

I'm getting things ready for my new motor and decided to inspect the rear end and check the brakes since I'm adding a bunch more torque and hp so I want to make sure things are sound. Everything looks good and as much as I beat on the truck , I'm happily surprised it looks so good. Cleaned the brakes and polished the wheels too. It's going back together over the weekend.

Here's a few pix.

TOMSRIV - They are 31x18.50x15 on 15x15 Torq-Thrusts

BADRIAND - Yeah , those old parts are hard to keep clean. Those axles are 8 years old....lol

ChiefRocka - Thanks John. Did you catch the paint scheme on my cruiser bike? Your truck was the inspiration.

Thanks Sleepy and LILRED66 !!

The day i win the lottery, i'll buy it from ya. I'm not a big fan of lowered trucks, but yours is the exception

Great looking parts, Qwyktruk! How well does your truck corner with those steam rollers and the spool? Did I see that you had the engine in in another posting?

Re: Did a little preventative maint. today

Dinos63- coming from a guy who has 3 bad azz trucks, a smokin burb and a vette, that's a compliment! Thanks

kenny strong - thanks very much! I'll probably never sell the truck...

Greg64 - the truck handles surprisingly well. I took the rear end in today to have the Tru-Trac replaced with a Detriot Locker. I found some burrs on the gear edges and the guy told me the pinion preload was incorrect.

1974K5Blazer - I bought the coating at H-Depot 5 years ago and did it myself. Not too hard to do. Thanks!
