Interesting....
Saw this on CL today. Ignoring all the hype, I think it's pretty neat how they put a '97 tahoe frame, eng and tranny under/in it. Here's more pics and info: Ebay

Re: Interesting....
can't see the front diff. housing -- is this normal if they used a '97 torsion bar front end?

Re: Interesting....
I live near near this car lot. They are a muscle car/specialty car type of place. They have some cool looking cars when you are driving by at 40mph, but what I have seen there they mostly all are 50 footers (or 50MPH) with very poor "craftsmanship" on so called "restored" vehicles, which again is using the term very loosely, but maybe I'm picky as my idea of restored isn't an original bondo'd over rust bucket built with junk parts and never updated/removed/replaced suspension and undercarriage spray painted black, grease dirt grime and all. But again, I'm picky.
Anyway, if anyone is actually interested in this truck, I will be more than happy to stop by and give it a once over before you commit to anything.

Re: Interesting....
Didn't see anything to hate about that! The radio delete/conversion cover is the best I've seen, even though the stereo/DVD is a little weird looking. Really liked the combo rhino-lined bed/oak floor...

Re: Interesting....
Ya, I've seen a few of their auctions on Ebay. Never been to the lot. They always seem high to me, too. Maybe they can get away with them being higher priced b/c there are (were?) a lot of ppl w/disposable income in the area. Anyhow, wasn't telling anyone to go buy it, just thought it was "different".

Re: Interesting....
It's becuase they sell mostly junk that is made to look decent, but I doubt they sell much of anything locally or to anyone that has any idea on what they are looking at.

Re: Interesting....
Yes, it is normal. It is IFS, and the differential is mounted up high.

Re: Interesting....
Someone else posted that link a few months ago. In these pics it looks fairly decent. I'd drive it.

Re: Interesting....
Overall I think it is pretty cool. However, it seems like all that money spent and they could have put some cooler tires and rims on it and maybe something more in the engine bay too. I know it was a driver, but it just seems a little unfinished. To each their own.
