Tire lbs rating ??????

Tire ratings will not change the GVWR(Gross Vehicle Weight Rating). The tag in my 71 C/10 says as manufactured maximum Gross Vehicle Weight 4400 lbs - Maximum Capacity 5400 lbs. (This is the number that you go by to be "Legal")
Buying 10 ply's rated at say 2500 lbs does not mean you can truck on down the road with 10,000 lbs.
It tells me that unless I think I'm gonna get better tire wear its pointless to by a tire thats rated more than say 1500.

Yes I know it won't raise the gvw on a light truck, but if you put 4 tires rated at 1500 lbs on a truck with a 9900 gvw you legally can't go over 6000 lbs total weight.
