WHERE DO YOU HOOK THE GREY WIRE UP TO?????

My 70 has the fiber light and the 72 tilt has the GREY WIRE for the light. I would like to know where on a 72 doe's this wire connect.

It should connect to a brown wire coming from the light switch. I am not certain though, but I do know it connects to a power that is only on when the lights are on.

I have hooked the indicator wire up to a couple of different locations. The grey wire on your heater controls light is one spot or there is a location on your fuse panel. Either location ties you into the dash light circuit, so that your indicator light will dim along with your dash lights when you turn the light switch knob.

The fuse box is the easier because you can plug the lead in if it still has the female terminal on the wire.

Thanks Jim.

I assume at the fuse box it would be where it says lights. I never thought about the heater light, I'll check them both out. It drives me nuts to have something thats there but dosn't work.

Thanks
Steve

There is a small separate fuse for the "Dash Lights" and there is a
male terminal that you can plug into right by the fuse.

Fuel guage no t workin...I walked plenty of miles becouse of that. At night you can use a mag light to peer into the filler, but day time your stuck going by fuel sloshing sound, or odometer reading.
Try traveling from Tx to Ohio with no fuel guage or odometer! Now that was interesting...never ran her dry on that trip either.
