Vacuum Gauge?
There is a guy by me who is sort of parting out a '64 Suburban and I noticed it has an engine vacuum gauge in it that looks very original. Was this an option and would it be worth picking up from him?

Re: Vacuum Gauge?
Not an option, but could have been installed by the original dealer or the previous owner. If it is in the dash panel, it is a factory gauge item typically found in a medium duty truck.

Re: Vacuum Gauge?
The Air or Vacuum gauge was installed in some of the Series 50-80 Chevy trucks with a factory dash cluster with gauges. It is found in the left blank of the gauge cluster. I have seen them on eBay before for over $100.00.
It would make a nice addition for the fellows running a bag system. |

Re: Vacuum Gauge?
I put a Pontiac vacuum gauge in my gauge cluster. Look on E-Bay for Pontiac or Oldsmobile vacuum gauges.
Actually this was my second one, I had the first one out out of it's housing and the needle was stuck... thinking I could "unjam" it with compressed air, all it did was cause the thing to fly out of my hand and explode on impact. |
