Odd place for the antenna
Is this odd or was it a option for the CST trucks. Cab, cowl, and fenders came from 69 CST truck. California title says hscr so it must have been some kind of camper special but had no emblems.

Re: Odd place for the antenna
I think it was added by a PO, or maybe the dealer. I really don't think it's factory.

Re: Odd place for the antenna
My thoughts were that was a better place if you had a cab-over camper for reception. I'd say an addition after putting a camper on.

Re: Odd place for the antenna
cowl has not been welded so if added the custom air cab would have come without a radio. This cab had air and gages with tach so I doubt it came without a radio. someone painted over the spid so I cant go by that. I guess they could have changed the cowl and moved the antenna when they repainted the truck.

Re: Odd place for the antenna
It appears to be a retractable antenna, is it?

Re: Odd place for the antenna
I put the retractable in when I rebuilt the truck There was a regular antenna there when I bought the truck. I got the truck from the original owners son. He does not know anything about it except that his dad bought it new.
