Power assist steering
Hi,I have a 70 k5 4x4 that i am working on,I bought a 68 2wd for parts.My question is can I use the power assist from the 68 on my 70?Thanks.

Welcome to the 67-72 Chevy Truck Forums from West Michigan!
Since the tie rod setup is different on the 4x4 from the 68 2WD it would be very difficult to adapt the power assist. Jim

Ok thanks,so I have a complete power assist to get rid of if some one is looking and I need a 4x4 power steering gear.

4X4 ps boxes are plentiful and cheep in the junk yards. from 69 to 87 in p.u. and to 91 in blazers and burbans are the same bolt patern to the frame. They use two styles of lines, ones a double flare the other is an O ring seal. the input may also be differnt sizes. I've thrown out dozens off ps boxes cause I only need so many spares. I usuly keep the newer ones that have a quicker turning ratio.
