Re: Cutting frame for headers??? Is this a stupid idea
man Jay you're really bringing it back to life. I remember when your granpa put that engine in there in 81 or 82. It was the fastest truck in town! I'm glad it stayed in the family. Keep it up

I'm trying. Fixing his truck with his tool with the knowledge pass down from him to dad to me. Might work.
Glad to see you aboard. I checked out jeepz yesterday. Everyone was jealous of your red fish round up.

Re: Cutting frame for headers??? Is this a stupid idea
I need to bring the Jeep home and redo the interior bedliner. I think I sanded it down to welland it didn't stick real good in some places. It said "scuff painted surfaces" but I totally ground it all off.Oh well, live and learn. I'm also gonna do the POR-15 on the undercarriage. You can come help me...
Oh and the 2WD 67-72 Jimmys are driving me crazy. I might have to get a fifth vehicle after looking around this site. |

Re: Cutting frame for headers??? Is this a stupid idea
I wanna see how that POR 15 works, everyone on here uses it. Once you get it on you, you have to wear it off, about like spray can foam.
But i always like those 72 Jimmys. Theres one for sale down here, guy wants 1500 for. It runs, but its ugly. 5 vehicles for someone in the oil industry would be expected. Hell, one for each work day. LOL

Re: Cutting frame for headers??? Is this a stupid idea
I put a motor in my friends 78 f150 and when I went to take the headers off I noticed the previous owner had cut a suare out of the frame so they would clear. I welded a rod between the 2 points after I got the new motor in
