Can I still purchase a new set of original lockouts for a 72?

Not the blue cap GM ones. Get some Milemarker stainless ones, or if you HAVE to have OEM ones, buy the Milemarkers and I'll trade you my OEM ones.

1/2 or 3/4 ton? The half ton stuff is still available from gm but the 3/4 ton stuff is all gone with the exception of yellow knobs but those were for 73 and newer spicer lockouts. good luck..
