bought another one--what would you do ????

picked up a 68 long fleet 1/2 ton CST, same owner since 68. has p-s, p-b, a-c, and bucket seats. very straight body, has rust in both rockers but all other sheetmetal is mint except for a couple of minor dings on the left bedside. 327 with a 4 bbl carb, turbo 400 trans, front sway bar, and heavy duty rear springs.
would you part it out or try selling it as a complete running/driving truck ?
it's burgandy & white with fawn interior and still has the jack, jack handle and lug wrench under the seat.

no way i would part out that truck. if its in that good of shape it would be a prize here in md compared to most older vechiles due to severe overuse of salt in the winter, sell the whole truck i would love to find one with rust that minimal

Don't Disassemble

Being a nicely optioned CST I say sell it as a truck for restoration. If it was a C10 I say go for it because there a lot of those trucks avaliable but not like the one you have.
My .002 cents worth
Regards,
70cst

KEEP IT! You'd have a boat load of fun with it, rebuild it and beef it up. You'd be content.

i can't post pics , my polaroid digital camera refuses to work for me.
i bought it mainly for the seats and was going to part the rest. to try and be fair to everyone who is seriously interested ( since i'm to stupid to figure out my digi cam), i'll offer it complete for $2500.00 or 2 grand without the seats to anyone that wants to send me one of those disposable camera's. i'll take pics on your camera and send it back.
it'll be a few weeks before i get the title back from D.M.V. but i started paperwork yesterday.
if interested , send me a P.M. and i'll send my address. anyone local is welcome to call me and drive out and look at it.

Jerry,

Instead of spending your time and money tearing it apart, advertising parts dealing with customers and trying to ship crap across the country, I say spend half a day welding some rockers in it and put a nice paint job on it. It would bring a pretty penny in mint condition and you would have plenty of profit to buy your seats and take the little lady out on the town. It feels a hell of a lot better than tearing one apart. I personally don't see how you could sell the parts for more than a mint truck, your labor and hassle time is incredible on taking one apart. You would have to have a very large volume of parts to make it profitible.
