Angry Headlight Switch Removal

How do you get the headlight switch out. I unscrewed the black retainer, but how does the pull knob and shaft come apart. Looks like a small set screw on the side of the knob, but no allen key fits. Your help is welcome.

My Chilton says:

1)reach up behind the instrument cluster, depress shaft retaining button and remove knob and rod.
2)remove instrument cluster bezel screws on left end, pull out on bezel and hold switch nut with a wrench.
3)disconnect wiring
4)remove switch by rotating while holding switch nut.

Hope this helps

Yup, push the small button or pin on backside of the switch. You gonna have to play with it a little. Just wiggle it and pull the knob as you push the button.

Great, just when I thought I could help contribute (and get another post on my way to an avatar) you go and solve your problem......wait did I just post..... :p

Oh well, I could have helped with the button thing too. I learned about that myself last summer.

Glad to hear it worked out for ya.
