Smoothed out my firewall

Just got finished smoothing my firewall. Did lots of welding and fabbing on it then my buddies told me they can't even tell what is factory and what isn't. Makes me wonder if all the work is worth it. IT IS!!!!

It was worth it. It looks great. Personally, I like it when they don't look like they are modified even though they are. That's the true sign of good work.

What are you doing for heat, etc? Where are you going to route wires? When are you going to come up to seattle and convert my truck to a 2wd with a smoothed firewall?

You just need smarter buddies! Top rail was capped, pass side made to match drivers side, cowl hinge mounts, wire block removed, clutch hole removed............... Like I said find smarter buds and it will all be worth it
Nice job keep at it!

Very nice, I agree, I like the mods that are done in a way that you have to know what you're looking at to know a change has been made. Subtle is cool!

Re: Smoothed out my firewall

The PCM is mounted in the glovebox so I routed the wires to come out for the engine directly in the center of firewall. The will be hid by my intake. I got a heater from vintage air and the two holes you see on the passenger side of the firewall are for my heater hoses. Not running an a/c but I left the vents in the dash just incase I want it later. I will definately be ready for cruzin the coast!!!
