What way should I go?

I want to start of by saying I'm new here and I have a 67' step side long bed. I recently bought the truck from a friend. I am doing a frame off resto but nothing crazy. I'm only 18 with a part time job. The ? I have is what type of suspension should i use? I want a 2-1/2 frt and 4in rear drop. I plan on having around 400 rwhp and doing a lot of racing street and strip, but I also want to take it to a few car shows. I want power disk brakes on the front and drum are ok in the rear. I also have a shortened rear end with willwood brakes and decent size axles. I don't know if I should use that or the stock rear end with 3.73 gears and posi. So I'm not going all out drag but I want to be able to hold my own.

If you're asking about dropping the truck, then I would go no farther than ECE (Early Classic Enterprises). They have some of the best drop kits on the market. On their site they have different truck/blazer models with different lowering kits on them. It makes it a little easier to see what your lowering kit will look like with out dropping the $$$.

Tough call on which rear to go with -- the shorty is great for the 400 RWHP, but requires wheels/tires/tub job/suspension mods to handle it. If you're racing, go with the shorty. If you wanna go fast but drive it every day, my very humble opinion is stick with the stock posi setup to relieve yourself of all the mods and work required with the short rear.

Thanks! thats all i rly needed to know. If I was to go with the short rear end where shuld I get parts for it like the other brakets and links that weld to the frame

Performance Online has some kits for rear suspension, including some 4 link stuff. You may have to have some of it custom built, though.

Try ***************** for the weld in brackets, they are pretty reasonable, and you can get alot of axle tabs n things for what you are probably needing.
