Re: free truck - CL SEATTLE
At current scrap prices it is probably already crushed!

It's half crushed already!
It was just posted on CL at 1:44pm. It sounds like getting it out may be a challenge.

Re: free truck - CL SEATTLE
It would cost me more than it was worth to go after it. That might be a good rebuilder engine for someone to put in another truck though. I suspect the scrap haulers will be after it pretty quick around there.
clunkers are starting to disappear around here at a faster rate lately and some have been sitting in the weeds for 20 years or better without being bothered. It does look like it has a few usable parts though. From the looks of it I would almost bet a tree fell on it as there is no roll over damage. Last edited by mr48chev; 06-12-2008 at 12:06 AM. |

Re: free truck - CL SEATTLE
It would probably only be worth getting if you're in the immediate area and have the means to get it.
Also, the listing says, "a tree feel lengthwise down the top so the cab and wind shield are smashed." So I think you're right about the tree. ![]() The bed might make a decent trailer. Are the straight-6's worth rebuilding?
