A/C vacuum and wiring issues
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the vacuum line from the reservoir in the engine compartment goes? It seems that the PO removed and did not replace it. The cruise control wont operate without it ( i think anyway) and also the A/C wont turn on. I think there is a wiring issue with this however. DOes anyone know exatly where inside the cab the green wire from the connector on the compressor goes? Any help would be appreciated, thank you...
BRAD

Re: A/C vacuum and wiring issues
Sorry I can't answer your question, but I would like to know as well about the green wire. I have a short somewhere in mine, and Im gonna be tearing that apart soon.
Vacuum line from what reservoir? That confused me... |

Re: A/C vacuum and wiring issues
I'm guessing the spherical can at the passenger corner of the engine bay.
Don't know if this will help, but here's my emissions vac diagram, 83 federal low altitude.

Re: A/C vacuum and wiring issues
If he's talking about that, the vac hose needs to be hooked up to manifold vacuum.
I plugged mine into the port on the back of the carb. |

Re: A/C vacuum and wiring issues
Yea the only difference is mine is on the drivers side, bein an 87 maybe they moved it. The weird thing is that the port on the intake manifold of mine is split, one side of the T goes into the cab, i asuume for vent controls, and the other goes to the cruise control module right behind the carb. The hose connected to the reservoir seems to be of proper length to reach the T, but im just not sure if mine is configured wrong or if the reervoir conects elsewhere...thanks
