Check this out Daniel U

I never had a soft spot for 54's until I saw yours. Now I really like them, funny how that happens. Anyways, check this out! It's really rough but it sure is cool.

Re: Check this out Daniel U

I've had a 54 and a 55 1st series. That one is pretty rough and pretty expensive.

Re: Check this out Daniel U

Thanks for the link. I've had my '54 since I was 16(16 years ago), so my soft spot runs deep. My parents bought a swb '54(for parts) with a Camaro clip and a 10 bolt rear. It's for sale now. They got the parts they needed for my mom's lwb from other sources. The parts '54 may have a power train? I thought it'd be fun to do for my son, but my wife say's she gets her truck 1st(73-75 Chevy step or Blazer 4x4). As long as it's got a Chevy bowtie on it, I'm all for it.

That would be cool if my wife was into that sort of thing. It takes a special woman to appreciate an old truck. Mine tolerates it but I don't think she will care to even drive mine when it's done. For me it would be cool if she wanted to take it to work one day or somthing. I am sure that won't happen though.

Re: Check this out Daniel U

I spent 2 years, while we dated, brainwashing her to a GM only mindset. I said as long as it was a GM, I'd buy one for her. We went to many car/truck shows. I'd say she "tolerates" more than appreciates my hobby, although she constantly points out cool rides. She had a Chrysler New Yorker and a F**d Probe before we dated. After we got married, she drove my '84 Z/28 (before she was rear ended on the freeway)and now our '99 Tahoe. She's always wanted a 4X4 for her St. Bernard who never seems to stop growing. I'm supporting her need for a 4X4 if it keeps the dog out of the Tahoe. I'm not a big fan of dogs.

I say take it where you can get it! My last truck was a 78 and it was fun to work on. I wish I hadn't got rid of it sometimes but I needed $ to get started on the 59.

Mines the same way. When I was building it she just kept asking when she could go back to parking here car, which was her only interest in my build. Now that's it's done she okay with it, but I know she would rather have a diamond ring on her finger instead.
