Very nice truck...would be interesting to see if it actually sells for this price. A lot of deadbeats on Feebay never follow thru with the purchase

Nice little profit on that truck. He only paid $17,300 for it. Here's the ebay link where he bought it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=150236792869

Re: Who says you cant get good money for our trucks?

I'd really like to know if the cash changes hands. It's a nice truck, but if it sold for 17K a few months ago (which I think is about the right price) and now it's at 37K... doesn't seem right to me.

Re: Who says you cant get good money for our trucks?

Gotta question: Do people buy from themselves on eBay? Meaning, could you enter the "winning" bid yourself and keep the vehicle and establish a price that would seem exhorbitant? I know you can set the reserve at whatever you want it to be, but what about being the purchaser and keeping it from going anywhere....what about the fees to eBay if you sell it to yourself?

I don't do eBay....

No but your friend could go on and bid it up and he never has to pay you at the end of the auction... You pay your e-bay fees and thats it... I know people that have done this with things because they didn't put a reserve on the item and they were not getting the money they wanted..

yep and then to get from paying the "final value fees" all you have to do is a unclaimed item dispute with your "friend" and then you dont have to pay the fees, just have the inital listing fees to pay. no negatives go towards either party

Re: Who says you cant get good money for our trucks?

So, that aspect throws a little cloud on the possibility that the seller made $20K on the sale, huh?

Barrett-Jackson strikes again??

Re: Who says you cant get good money for our trucks?

I love these trucks. They are without a doubt my favorite but I think this auction is being scammed. I don't think someone is honestly bidding almost 40K for that truck. I think it's the seller or a seller's friend that is "bidding up" the auction

Re: Who says you cant get good money for our trucks?

that's a lot of money for a non-loaded small block truck. don't get me wrong, highlanders are my flavor, and that is a color combo i've not seen and a true shorty, very rare. doesn't look like it was frame off restored either by the looks of the firewall. i hope he got it, makes mine look that much sweeter.

these trucks don't need vacuum gauges cause they don't suck!
