So heat and ac or nothing?
This truck is only going to be a summer truck and rolling down the windows while driving is good enough for me, it'll look cleaner, but will it be too plain? any other downsides, upsides? thanks

If you are saying you possibly will have no heat no air or no defrost vs having all of em I would think that wont be a good selling point if you were ever gonna move it down the road.

Re: So heat and ac or nothing?
Since I drive my vehicles spring through fall, (when there is no snow) there are some days that it is pretty cool. When the frost is on the windshield, a heater/defroster is pretty nice to have. AC is not very necessary but if you drive in cold weather then the heater can be very needed.

![]() Even here in Texas we need heat in the cooler months. If you're going to keep it and want a clean firewall, you could save up for an aftermarket combo unit. |

Re: So heat and ac or nothing?
Here on the coast of California, where it rarely gets above 80 or below 50, my '67 has a non-operational heater, and after driving it for a year like that, fixing it is one of my priorities. It's nice to have a defroster that works and to not depend on the heat from the motor laking through the holes in the firewall.

Re: So heat and ac or nothing?
You burn the same amount of gas or more with the windows down vs. driving with the A/C on. I dont have A/C but will soon get it as I made a 350 mile trip in 100+ degrees of heat with my 5 yr old son and we sweat our b#$%& off. I am getting A/C for sure. As for the heater/defroster. Get it to work ! You will need it sooner or later and will be glad you have it when you need it ! Dont ask me how I know that . haha

Re: So heat and ac or nothing?
I started out with the bulky factory A/C, and didn't like it.
Then I drove with no A/C and no defrost for a year, and it looked really clean! Now I have an underdash hidden unit with the standard vent locations, and it still looks pretty clean. I am happy with my decision to put it back in. Especially on road trips. ![]() It's all behind the glovebox. DLB DLB |

Re: So heat and ac or nothing?
I have to have a heater and defrost. A/C is in the future too.
