6 lug rotor change over
i just picked up a 85 1500 and was woundering if i could use the spindels and newer rotors that are 6 lug

an 85 would have 5 lugs or 6 if it was 4x4.

If its just a parts vehicle just yank the whole front end out and do a swap! If your just wondering if you can use the 85 spindles and rotors and that it the answer is no!

what i wanted to know is can i use the control arn spindles frome the 85 and use newer rotors that are 6 lug

If you are wanting 6lugs visit the vendors sites(Brothers or ECE any many others) and get a set of 6lug rotors(designed for the earlier 6lug trucks using 71-up disc brake spindles) for your truck. You cannot use the NEW style rotors on square body trucks.I have been toying with this idea for a while now. Use 6 lugs all the way around on my '84 crewcab. I would either use a 4x4 rear 12blt or 6 lug semi float 14bolt.Good luck.
