Front grill up date on 85 to a 91 Blazer
I have been thinking of updating my the grill on my 85(with single headlights) to a 91 Blazer double headlight front end. I saw where a guy did this to his truck. He did it by cutting his rad support and mounting everything it looked very good (but it must have been a lot of work). I would like to mount a 91 Blazer rad suport to my 85 C/10. I figure that with new replacement parts I can do a bolt up for less than 500.00 bucks, less if I can find a good used front end. Does any one know if it is a full bolt up swap? I don't want to get into a bunch of fabrication. I don't have the time to fool around. I want to un-bolt the old and bolt on the new. Anyone done it with used or new parts? What did you run into? I know I'll have to change the wiring which is no problem as I want to up grade the harness to the heavy duty wiring using the solenoids. While I have it torn apart I will probably go with eletric fans and dump the mechanical one. Any advice would be appreciated.
