dash pad

has anyone covered a dash pad in tweed fabric ? does the pad itself have to be perfect or can i fill the cracks with flexable filler ? or maybe use a form fit cover on it then use the fabric? also the door panels, do they need to be perfect ? any help will be appreciated.......art

if youre using fabric you would have to make the dash pad smooth or you will see the crack... id prolly cut the edges of the crack with a straight edge blade then use fiberglass to fill in the crack so its good and smooth... any thing else would prolly not stay as well you could also put a little foam insulation on the dash before you put on the material the kind like they use under laminate floors or for packaging things

the door panels are plastic those as long as no pieces are missing around the edges, bondo will work ok to patch cracks or even holes that arent too big fiberglass for stuff bigger
