Anyone have a pic or info of a AM/FM/CB gm radio
Guy I'm talking with says he has a rare AM/FM/CB all in one radio for a 75 gmc 3/4 ton. He says its GM brand, just never heard of one. Anyone have any info on something like this?? Or am i just a squirrel that found a nut??

Here is a pic of a 78 (I didn't think the triband was availbe in 75, but what do I know).
If it is a radio built prior to 1977, it will only have 23 channels.

Re: Anyone have a pic or info of a AM/FM/CB gm radio
well i know that from past experience with cadis and this used to be an option in the old dodge trucks that the cb part would break and not work right.. i also know you need a special antenna for that radio that uses the regular mast to get the cb channels so unless its a complete set working i dont think id think its worth that much

Re: Anyone have a pic or info of a AM/FM/CB gm radio
They came with an antenna that was multi use and it sucked. If you put an aftermarket CB antenna on it they worked pretty good. Not as powerful as a dedicated CB, but not bad. You could always add a linear amplifier if you want some real power.

Re: Anyone have a pic or info of a AM/FM/CB gm radio
I had a 1983 Oldsmobile 98 that had one (finally sold that pice of sh#t). It (the car and the radio) wasn't one of GM's better ideas. As far as it being rare, I don't know how many of our trucks had them, but plenty of other vehicles did. AND THEY ALL SUCKED!

My 78 Corvette originally had one installed, too. I got it in a box, and it stayed that way.
