Advice On In Dash Tach.

wANT TO INSTALL TACH IN DASH WHERE LARGE FUEL GUAGE IS NOW.

Could anyone recommend one that wouldnt require much surgery. Im talking about aftermarket tach -not stock- autometer has one listed for in dash , 5 in . diameter - 2 3/8 in deep - Is this a good choice. ? Any advice would be appreciated.

What are you going to do about a fuel gauge if you move it? Installing one in its place has been covered MANY times lately. Have you seen this: http://www.73-87.com/7387garage/inte...s_recessed.htm

I am looking into converting the big gas gauge to a tach. Then I'll add a little gas gauge into the little gauge cluster. This guys tells me he can do it. http://www.corvetteclocks.com/ Others say he does good work.

Yes Chris I have seen this article . Im going to bypass the printed circuit to the small fuel guage & direct wire it from the pin. Im using a stock fuel guage Igot from bone yard . Also the other small guages & the speeddo will be stock as well . The only after market item will be the tach .
