E brake ideas
I did a search and couldn't find a thread about this. If there is let's bring it back to the top.
I haven't studied it much, just trying to get some ideas. I've got a tilt column out of a chevy (key on column) that I will be using. For those that have done this mod, what did you do with the ebrake? I'm thinking of keeping it on the column. Just curious because it won't be long before I start fitting the impala dash and column. Thanks for any pix and ideas

Re: E brake ideas
That original handle is nice, it could mount just about anywhere, I am thinking of mounting mine on the floor by inside edge of the bucket seat of my 61.
another idea is to use /modify the 59/60 passenger car one to go with your dash, it is a foot pedal style. |

Re: E brake ideas
What about the floor brake on a C-60? That could look sweet.

Re: E brake ideas
I will be bolting in a standard foot pedal e-brake from a later model. The vacuum release models are nice from a Cadillac or something. Automatic dissengagement when you put it in gear. My Dad put one of those in his 37 Pontiac Street Rod 25 years ago and it is really nice.
