Question What kind of lift?

I just got a 87 GMC 3/4 ton. I would like to add a lift, but am unsure if i should get a body lift or suspension lift. The body is much cheaper, what are the advantages of the suspension lift? Any other info would be great!

thanks
josh

id go with a suspensien lift, body lifts basicly just raise the body higher for clearance, which leaves a big gap from the frame to body,,,,, which can look ugly....... also with a body lift you have to extend LOTS of things..... fuel lines steering shaft etc etc

forgot to mention the raised center of gravity with a body lift depending on the lift you might need to enlarge the hole for the t-case shifter my coisin had to do this with his 3" bodylift on his 73 3/4t and I agree with Imp the gap just ruins the whole look go with suspension lift the 12" kit is only $1200 heheheheheh
I also read somewhere that in some states body lifts are illegal anybody else heard of this?
