5spd conversion?

I have a 67 4x4 K20. I want to change from the original 4spd with a Rockwell transfer case to a newer style 5spd transmission and 241c transfer case? Which transmission is the most appropriate for the job???

4500, the 3550 is a little weak IMO for a half ton truck.

Re: 5spd conversion?

It was cheaper for me to go with a 2wd NV4500 and a Divorced np205. just one more option for you.

Re: 5spd conversion?

Get an early 90's chevy with a Nv4500 and a newer style 208 already mated to it. Drop it in, connect corrected drive shafts, your done.
