bed question

will a late 80's/90's step side bed fit onto my 66 short wide??? if so how tough is it to bolt on and any pics would be great. want to put one on till i get the 66 one all fixed up. the old one is in pretty poor shape and may need to find a hole new one.

Re: bed question

It can definitely be done, there's a nice one right down the road from me; as for difficulty, no idea - measure/compare the main mounting points on both beds

Re: bed question

I saw a mid 60s shortbed ford with a 92 chevy stepside bed this weekend. Hopefully he has a chevy engine in it to or else nobody will see his tail lights cause he is getting passed. Just headlights getting smaller and smaller.

Re: bed question

Hey apachedaddy,

I'm looking at doing the same thing but with a 66 long bed. It will be a while before I get to mine but I'd like to know your outcome if you don't mind.

You wouldn't happen to be at Hunter would you? I mean the name doesn't give it away or anything. I lived in Savannah for a few years after I finished at Ft. Stewart.
