1956 Axle Width
I won't have access to my truck for a while but need a quick measurement. I need to know how wide the axle is in a 1/2 ton short step 2wd, wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface. I've done a few searches and either come up with nothing or what seems like the entire archives.

Rear axle flange to flange is 62". I got that from chevytrucks.org.
