what is a 2x2 ????

to go form 4x2 1/2 to 3/4 ton and do it the cheap way you will need these parts off a 73-87 3/4 ton: lower A arms, all 4 balljoints, spindles, rotors, calipers, brake hoses, wheels, basically not much of anything is same between 1/2 and 3/4, 3/4 is alot bigger and larger parts. spindle castings are not same at all. you can simply swap 3/4 ton rotors and calipers onto 1/2 ton spindles, it doesnt work that way. the main crossmember itself, and centerlink, idler arm, pitman arm, and steering box are the same between the two series trucks, however.

good luck
