np203 part time kit?

Has anyone here ever turned there full time np203 t-case into a part timer with a "part time kit"?

I'm thinking about doing it to my 79 k10, but i've heard that some gawd-awfull things happen if you turn it into a part time. So, has anyone done this?

I've done it, just have to either lock hubs or engage 4wd every 200 miles to lube tailshaft.

203 info

Interesting. Is the kit hard to install? Your link doesn't work by the way.

Not too hard, may have another kit to sell, going to part a 79 K20 with one in it. Link

From the pictures, it appears that he did all of that without even taking the case off the tranny. You can put it in without taking the case from your truck?

Yep, just the rear of the 203 has to come off to install, then you should install locking hubs as well.
