Re: Shortening a 56 Chevy long bed

There are a couple of threads on the board concerning shortening frames. One is in the 67/72 pages. One of the best tech articles on shortening a frame that I have run across on any board. it should give you the info you are looking for.

By all rights and regulations I should let you hunt for it but here it is.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=123624 And it will work for any longbed truck frame that a guy wants to shorten if he changes a few measurements to fit his application.

You will still have to figure out the exact amount you need to shorten "your" frame as it may be a bit different than the later ones.

Re: Shortening a 56 Chevy long bed

The S10 chassis swap seems to be a growing trend here. It may be easier in the long run.
