need some more help, front leafs?

i was told that the front leafs for the 67-72 have a pretty stiff ride, was told to purchase 73-87 springs, or even 52" springs for better articulation? the truck is not going to be used for heavy wheeling or anything, granted i will use and abuse, i was planning on bilstein shocks, the ride doesnt really bother me, but i heard it might get old. really appreciate all the help the past few weeks

Thanks again

Stock springs or lifted?
All the springs are different lengths. You would have to move the frame mounts.

Re: need some more help, front leafs?

You posted earlier that you were going with a 4" lift -- is that still the plan? I put 2.5" Skyjacker Softrides on several years ago and the ride is very good for and old 3/4T truck.

Might find what you're looking for in the Suspension forum...

Re: need some more help, front leafs?

i was wondering the same thing right now i have the soft ride 2.5" but really want more lift. i was looking at a set of 6" lift springs from a 73-87 then using diy4x's front hangers. any body use them and know if they are good?
