What to do?
Here's a pic of my truck, I thinking of lowering it in the rear a bit more. I'm thinking of keeping the stock wheels and hubcaps, having the rims powder coated white and polish the hubcaps. Repaint the truck in the same factory color, but maybe not add the woodgrain at the bottom??? Any thoughts??

I think that would look real nice. Lowering the back some and removing the trim would give it that clean, sleek look.

Of course it depends on your budget and goals, but I think you're right on with your plans, except I'd get brand new woodgrain trim and put it on instead of deleting it.

 with Brad.... definitely lower it a little, keep the trim and repaint it. That would make a great driver or cruiser.

I use it almost daily as it is. I tow my 66 elco to the race track with it. And it tows great at 80mph!! How hard are those hubcaps to find? A couple of mine are pretty beat up..
I'd like to remove the gas tank from behind the seat, install it in the rear and use the gas door from a 73-87 Blazer- or something similiar. I've got just a little rust in the front corners of the roof/drip rail area, I'm going to start pulling it apart in a couple weeks. Suspension is all fresh, new tranny and driveline too! And those mirrors have to go!

Man, I'd roll it as is, that is aleast mostly one color other than primer! 3/4 ton hubcaps are pretty easy to score and there are a couple for sale on the parts board now if I am not mistaken? The weast coast mirrors are not too pretty, but you can see out of them and there really isn't a good alternative to them for our trucks that allow you enough field of view?

Thanks for the help guys, now I'm torn between fixing up my current wheels, which are 16.5" and a PIA to get tires for, and maybe swapping on a set of those chevy wheels I see on the newer 3/4 ton trucks....
whatcha' all think?

yes, you right, street 16.5 tires are getting harder to find, but they look so good on those 3/4 tons!!! and replace the old trim with some fresh woodgrain trim. it's a little pricey, but OMG does these trucks look good with it on (especially your red!) on another note, you may have some backspace issues with the late model 3/4 ton rims. stay with what you have!
