Quite the project! What is the tire size. Any engine mods? I don't envy you in relation to the wiring!!

Re: 71 skittle project

tire size is 38 x 15.5 x 16.5...no engine mods as of yet...she gets up pretty good with the stock 7.4l vortec

Modified:
-custom made motor mounts
-cold air intake

checked out your ride looks like you have done some serious work to yours as well.

Re: 71 skittle project

Thanks, it's been a fun project. What kind of tranny and t/c are you running behind the 7.4? I bet that Vortec puts out nice power! Any firewall issues or did you move the motor forward some.

Re: 71 skittle project

-running the 4l80e tranny with overdrive
-advanced adapter to adapt to the NP205

had to move the transfer case mount back 3 inches but that was it.

have on the way twin sticks and a clocking ring to clock the transfer case up so it will almost be level with the frame. Then i can make a skid plate

Sweet looking truck so far I like it. Keep up the good work on it. The stance and the paint really set it off.
